Davey
Alan first played with Hawkwind at the Stonehenge
Festival in 1984 and as a result joined the band on
the hugely successful ‘Chronicle of the Black Sword’
tour. The tour's video release was voted the “third
best live act and rock video” by 'Sounds' in 1985.
To date, Alan has now spent over 22 years with Hawkwind,
including playing on, and writing many of the songs
on 'Space Bandits' which was number one in 'Kerrang
Magazine's indie rock chart for a Month. As well as
performing on many subsequent Hawkwind albums and
touring with the band, Alan has also found time to
publish around 90 songs, and has five solo albums
to his credit.
