Danny
Thompson
Danny is the son of legendary bass player Danny Thompson,
whose work can be heard on some major albums such
as John Martyn's "Solid Air". An old friend
of Alan's, Danny played drums for Hawkwind from 1984
to 1988, and contributed to albums such as "Chronicle
of The Black Sword", "Live Chronicles"
and "The Xenon Codex". Live highlights for
Danny include the Reading Rock Festival in 1986, which
was transmitted live on National BBC Radio One, and
later released on CD as "The Friday Rock Show".
Before joining Bedouin full time, Danny first contributed
to a track Alan's solo release "Bedouin".
He has been a part of the group ever since. Recently,
Danny has also guested with Hawkwind as a second drummer,
and performed at several gigs such as the Hawkfest
2002.
